Respect. Inspire. Support. Admire.
Today is officially the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, and Georgie’s wants to recognize a couple of worthy organizations in the Twin Ports that we’ve had the sincere pleasure of working with over the past couple of years.
If you have never heard of UDAC, please look up the non-profit organization and the wonderful work they do. I had the opportunity to work with UDAC by hiring some of their registered persons to do odd-and-end jobs at Georgie’s Custom Catering’s kitchen located inside WITC’s Conference Center in Superior Wisconsin. They were so, so, so a pleasure to work with, and always got done what needed to be done.
Another wonderful organization that we’ve worked with is The Challenge Center. The Challenge Center in Superior will hire people with disabilities do work for Bay Produce. I had the opportunity to be on the board here, and it was so rewarding to see the things this organization can achieve in our communities and the positive impact it has.
To learn more about working with People with Disabilities, or if you’re a person with disabilities looking to start your own business the U.S. Small Business Administration site is a great place to start.
